Text message terms
Ride to the Polls, a free, nonpartisan service of Center for Common Ground.
What we text you
If you tick the box on our forms and give us your mobile number, we text you about your ride: a confirmation when you book, a reminder before your pickup, a note when your driver is outside, and a note when your ride home is ready. Volunteer drivers and group organizers also get texts about their trips, and we send sign-in codes to the number you sign in with. We do not send marketing, fundraising, or messages about candidates, parties or ballot measures.
How often
The number of messages varies with your ride. Most people get a few texts for each ride they book.
Cost
Ride to the Polls is free. Your mobile carrier's message and data rates may apply.
Stop or get help
Reply STOP at any time to stop all texts. Reply HELP for help, or email info@centerforcommonground.org. After you reply STOP you can still get a ride; a volunteer will call you instead.
Consent is not a condition of getting a ride
You can ask for a phone call instead of texts when you book, and you will still get your ride.
Your phone number
We use your mobile number only to run your ride. We do not sell it or share it with third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Read our Privacy Policy.
